The 32 County Sovereignty Movement condemns the recent upsurge of harassment on the families of Republican activists. Children as young as two years of age have been left traumatised as a result of being stopped under Section 44 of the terrorism act by the PSNI (British Police) .
In the case of one Republican he and his two daughters have been stopped five times in the space of a fortnight. In one incident his seven year old daughter had to leave the scene in a taxi due to the aggressive and intimidating manner of the search. In another incident a member of the 32CSM was stopped pushed against the wall and searched whilst carrying his three year old child in his arms. Republicans have also been stopped collecting young children from school. In at least one of these incidents the family of the child concerned has contacted the children’s commission.
It is obvious that the PSNI is now operating a concerted campaign of intimidation aimed at the families of Republican activists. The 32CSM will be holding a protest at Free Derry Corner at 2pm on Saturday the 4th July to highlight the ongoing harassment of Republican activists and their families.

I seen 2 young fella being stopped in Bishop street the other night.
The had their hands in the air the police was pointing their guns at them.
Tweet lamberton was standing wacthing the young fellas who were obviously being bulled by PSNI officers in there early 50s obviously RUC men harrasing these young ppl.
Why didnt he help them, rescidents of Sunbeam terrace had to come out and help them questioning why they were being stopped.
Community workers have a duty to protect our young people especially for so called reformed RUC men.
